The Students We Serve

Hayes Day School provides services for children ages 5-21 who have multiple disabilities or autism. We currently have students from thirteen districts across the Hudson Valley. We provide a highly structured and supportive program for students who have medical, behavioral and/or academic needs.

Hayes Day School provides a 12 month program certified by New York State Department of Education. Children are referred by their local school district’s Committee on Special Education (CSE). The local school district is responsible for tuition and transportation.

This may include life skills, academic skills, vocational skills or a combination of all three. We currently work with students who are further diagnosed with, but not limited to:

The majority of our classrooms have only six students with a certified special education teacher, a certified teaching assistant and two classroom aides.
