Therapy Services

Hayes Day School offers a therapeutic intervention program with the goal of building on the children’s strengths while acknowledging their individual needs.  We offer a collaborative teamwork approach to build an individualized therapeutic curriculum.  This is facilitated through input from licensed Speech, Physical, and Occupation Therapists.  We also provide services from a Teacher of the Visually Impaired and a Music therapist.  Therapists treat each child’s physical and adaptive needs on a regular basis providing modifications and adaptations, positioning, and proper equipment use for each student within their school.  We guide each student individually, teaching them new ways to process class information and overcome physical, medical and sensory disabilities.

In addition to the traditional therapies offered, we also have canine therapy, yoga and adapted physical education.  We offer in house wheelchair and brace clinics on a monthly basis which allows for our therapists to be actively involved with the various vendors to provide the best fit and accommodations to meet each child’s unique needs.
